DRIVER INSTALLATION FAILS AFTER CONNECTING THE CUTTER TO THE COMPUTER
NOTE: If the driver does not install or the installation fails after connecting the cutter via USB and powering on, follow these steps:
IMPORTANT: In order to follow this instructions the Driver disc is required.
STEP 1: Insert the Driver disc into your computer. The disc is located in the accessories box (small cardboard box).
STEP 2: Open the Device Manager.
To access Device Manager, use any of the following methods:
STEP 4: The USB Serial Port properties will display. Select the Driver tab and click the Update Driver button.
STEP 5: The Update Driver Software will display. Select Browse my computer for driver software.
STEP 6: Click the Browse button. Be sure to have the box next to “include subfolders”, checked.
STEP 7: Search and select your CD Drive then select the driver file and press OK.
STEP 8: Press Next.
STEP 9: The following message may appear during the driver installation, select Install this driver software anyway.
NOTE: Installing driver...
STEP 10: Once the driver has been successfully installed you will see the following screen with the COM number asigned. Press Close.
NOTE: The following message appears notifying that the driver was installed.
NOTE: This is how the device driver properties should look like after updating.
NOTE: This is how the device manager USB Serial Port properties should look like after updating.
NOTE: The next step is to install the Cutting Software.
